Farming Volatile air can be a tedious task. You can go to Uldum and kill Scion of Al’Akir forever and not get a single Volatile air.
Or you can run around and search for Sweeping Winds in the deserts of Uldum. They are scattered thin over the area, so finding them will take more time than killing them at level 90.

If you want to find a great place to farm nerubian chitin, make sure you don’t ruin it for yourself, as I did, when I was working on this tip.

If Frostweave Cloth is too expensive, or you can’t find any in AH, there’s a great place to farm them, whether your character is alliance or horde. I went there with my lvl 76 Deathknight, and I was kept really busy and only had time to kill and loot, kill and loot, and occasionally get some healing.

Maybe prices has gone so far up on the mats you need that you prefer to get them yourself, or you want to sell them to make gold.
