The hunter has really got a big burst in this Pandaria extension. Very often, while leveling my hunter, if I went into battleground (what I do pretty often), I was often at the top screen of DPS, even though I might be the lowest level of my team.
In fact, when you look at the damage-done scale at the end of a battleground, almost every time, you will see the first places are taken by hunters.

We all have been newbies sometimes, or “noob” as the pejorative version is. Nim and I still remember how we wiped on Hogger back then, when he had 666 health and when I sold all my hard-picked flowers to… vendor! The first time I got one gold, it was almost an achievement for me. It took me a while, back then… So, if you are starting World of Warcraft, if you are newbie, or just if you want some advices to get a good start and to avoid some of the surprise I had, read on! (If you are not newbie, you can read them too… never know! I won’t tell a soul anyway!)
An unamed Blizzard employee who was terminated last year, did an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit, the 5th of June.
Even though the community of Reddit mostly asked “legal” or “general knowledge” question, it still shed some light on Blizzard’s methods.

You might have heard or read this expression: This or that spell is (or is not) on the global cooldown. But what is it and how does it affects your fighting?
Spells have different cooldowns (often referred to as “CD”). Some spells have one, two minutes cooldown, or even more. It is the cooldown necessary before you can cast the same spell again.

There has been a lot of talk and of crying about hunters for a long time. Well, we have to admit that the class had some PvP-changes in the last patch (5.3).
If you follow the talks on the forums, you will see that for a while, there has been a lot of complaints. Players were complaining that they are doing too little damage (hunters) and other players complaining that they are doing too much damage (roughly, every other classes).

When you read tips about healing or fighting, you often see mentioned that you should keep “slice-and-dice” up, if you’re a rogue, or keep a healing over time on the tank or yourself, if you’re a healer.
So if you’re anything like me, you refresh the HoT or the DoT, even though it was still on… And that’s a waste, because you could have used that time, energy or mana to do something better to hit or heal.

Some people, for some obscure reason, prefer to let a robot play for them instead of playing the game. They are what we call a “bot”. You can find them running around and skinning or mining or picking flowers.
If you have killed an animal and you are about to skin it and you see a player arrive and skin it before you have time to do anything, try this: Kill another animal and just wait. If you see the player stand by and just wait for 20 or 30 seconds, it is a bot.
Sometimes, for some reasons, you would like to know if a certain player has alts.
It could be good to know if these alts are on the same realm, of the same faction, who they are and what they are.
Of course, you can’t ask Blizzard about that. Well, you can, but I doubt, they will ever tell you.
There is actually a way of knowing anyway.
