Life of a bank alt

Your bank alt might not be able to participate in epic battles or join elite raids, but there’s one thing she can do as good as anybody else, and that’s role playing.

When Scorpyo and I started to play World of Warcraft, we created characters, tested different classes, deleted characters and started all over again.

Little by little we discovered that some of our characters had different personalities. Small things at first, but some of them evolved.

Could your bank alt be a guild master?

Yes, why not? But not for a traditional guild as you know them.

Most guilds have several members. They are meant for social events, sharing things, sharing experiences, and sharing the pain of doing raids. Oh, and for the fun of doing battlegrounds and other PvP.

Wouldn’t it be funny if you could take your level 1 bank alt a little outside the city and beat the living daylight out of an arrogant level 10 player?

That is in fact possible, if you twink your AH char.

Those level 1 twinks used to be more powerful earlier. Nowadays, there are more limitations to what gear they can use and the abilities a level 1 have.

What do you give your bank alt to wear?

Of course, if you’re not roleplaying the least, you could just leave him with the gear he was born with. Maybe remove his sword, though…

But you know how it is with business? Money attracts money. And if you can dress up your AH char to look his finest, then it’s because business is good. And when business is good, it gets better.

You have probably seen them on your realm… bank alts… or AH chars. You’ve noticed them, because they had names like Hugobank, or AH’r’us. And they made you wonder: why use a bank alt?
