Sometimes, you can make a lot of gold just by spending a bit of WoW gold. Just like out there in the scary real world, it’s not always to your advantage to try to do everything yourself. Pay somebody to help you, and you might be able to make a lot more gold than you just spend. Here are a few examples to get you inspired.
A few hours ago, my good friend Mazal (blood elf rogue) couldn’t solo a boss, you’re supposed to kill in a group of five persons. Mazal is level 75, but I went there to help with my level 66 death knight. I’m not sure, whether I lasted 5 or 7 seconds, but first round was won by the boss.
So we came up with a smart plan. Mazal would start the quest, take a few hits while switching to her level 80 main, then I should take a few hits, and then the main should take over.
Unfortunately, I lasted only one hit, each time we tried, and we both had for around 8 gold in repairs, but no rewards, since we never got the boss.
Mazal then went to Dalaran and offered 100 gold in reward to the level 80, who would help. She got help 3 seconds later, paid the level 80, downed the boss, and got the reward. Nice and easy, and no repairs.
But in other situations, you can even make a lot of gold yourself, just by paying somebody to help you.
Choose a good dungeon for your level. Pay somebody for the boost. You’ll get all the loot, XP, and half of the gold from that dungeon. You can easily make a lot more than you paid for the boost.
Or, if you’re a low level, you can pay somebody to take you to the good fishing spots, and make a fortune fishing. See my tip about a non-Wintergrasp fishing-spot that lets you catch Wintergrasp fish. Yes, even a level 10 can get there and make thousands of gold with the right patience. You just have to pay for a portal to Dalaran, and then pay for somebody with the X-53 Touring Rocket to take you to the Wintergrasp flightpath.
Or, you’re stuck with a lot of green items, you couldn’t sell in AH. Pay somebody to disenchant it, and you can make a lot of gold from the shards and dusts.
One of my oldest WoW friends pays professionals to do gem-cutting or tailoring for him. He gives the mats and a tip, and then he makes gold from the items in AH. He mainly does this because none of his characters has any professions, but it works.
What other ways can you think of to make gold, while paying others for their help? Please tell me in the comments.
