They are rough! They are tough! They rock! They play heavy metal live in Shattrath! Come to the World’s End Tavern and enjoy the Tauren Chieftain, or – as they are really named at the moment – The Artists Formerly Known as Level 80 Elite Tauren Chieftain.
Even if your favourite style of music is not very heavy metal, this is something you should enjoy. Their stage performance is excellent. Starting out with rocks popping up, and then smoke, and out of the smoke step the five musicians: The blood elf Sig Nicious, the orc Samuro, Bergrisst, the undead but very live playing lead guitarist, Mai’Kyl the troll, and finally Chief Thunder-Skins, the tauren drummer.
You can watch the Tauren Chieftain eight times per day in Shattrath, and once per day in the cozy bar, the Grim Guzzler, and you can listen to them every time, you want by using this little in-game trick. (Cool video online, btw, with two hot “Choppa Chicks” blood elf ladies, dancing and cheering to the band.)
The Tauren Chieftain is a real band, consisting of musicians from Blizzard. They started back in 2003, and they’ve had several huge hits like “Power of the Horde”, “I Am a Murloc”, and of course “Rogues Do It From Behind“. You HAVE to read the lyrics to that one!
The Tauren Chieftain are resting in Silvermoon, when they are not performing. They are friendly to alliance players as well, so you can go and meet them there, but I guess that the surrounding horde guards will not be just as friendly.
Every three hour, at the top of the hour, they are performing in Shattrath, in my favourite bar, the World’s End Tavern (does the number 42 ring a bell?). Watch these two hot “Choppa Chicks” blood elf ladies dance and cheer at the musicians:
If you want to find them, they are in Shattrath at 2AM realm time. You can just add 3 to that number to find a more convenient time for you.
Or you can journey into Blackrock Mountain to the Grim Guzzler and listen to the Tauren Chieftain every day at 8PM server time.
A real cool tip is that you can listen to the classic “Power to the Horde” in-game by writing the following line in the chat box:
/script PlaySoundFile(“Sound\\Music\\ZoneMusic\\DMF_L70ETC01.mp3”)
How cool is that?
So down with your hair, up with your fingers, and rock, babe! Rock!
