Perfect Spot to Get the “Going Down” Achievement for Alliance

As you probably know, the “Going Down” achievement is given to those, who fall 65 yards without dying.

My first character, who got it, Nimrasil, got it by accident. I was in Ratchet, started to ride towards the south, but changed my mind and went back. Very suddenly, I found myself in the air, going down, and I got an achievement, I didn’t even know existed back then.

Since then, I’ve done a lot of searching to find a place to get this achievement for my other characters, and I’ve found it.

This spot to get the “Going Down” achievement is nearly perfect. I just wish it would have been possible to do as horde as well. But for an alliance character, you can get “Going Down” in first try, no matter your level or race or class. You don’t need anybody else to help you, and it’s doable in your first try, if you follow these very simple instructions. I recorded a short video, showing how to do, which makes it even easier for you. I may have found a spot for horde, too, but more about that in another article.

You have to go to Exodar and go up the ramp towards the inn.

Make sure that you have full health, before you start.

With your back directly in front of the inn, find the second flute on the floor. (Click on the image below to see it in a larger scale.)

Going DownThe exact co-ordinates, when you are standing with your feeds on the second flute, are: 61.19, 34.01.

Now, take a deep breath, and start running out the flute. Don’t stop, and don’t jump. Just run. I falsely described it as “walking” to a friend the other day, so he just got hurt a lot, but didn’t get the achievement, before he himself figured out that I was talking nonsense.

Okay, so you’re on the second flute, and you are following it. Continue to follow it, even when you go over the edge. Finally, you’ll fall down the 65 yards, you need to fall, and you’ll get the achievement.

If you’re fast with the bandages, you might even get an achievement more.

But you can watch how I do in this short video. A video does, as you know, say more than a thousand words.

Please, let the video download, at least a bit, before you start it.

Have fun!
