Here’s an alternative way to get +75% speed, even whith noob chars, but it is only relevant over large distances. And only for night elves, sorry.
Take off most of your armor and all of your weapon, and put everything in your bank.
Go poke a spider or something. Then die.
As a whisp you can now move with an extra 75% speed to the nearest graveyard in the area you are going to.
Log off. Log on again.
Resurrect at the spirit healer.
Now get repairs and get your gear from the bank.
